Biography

Clara believes that every person has the potential for growth, a capacity to heal and that a safe connection is the catalyst for these processes to take place. She seeks to create a space that allows for creativity, connection, curiosity, and inclusivity. Most importantly, she wants her clients to feel seen, heard and understood.

Clara graduated in 2016 with an M.Ed. in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University and has joined the Symmetry team as she pursues LPC-MHSP licensure. She brings her experience as a school counselor, valuing collaboration in creating a safe and supportive environment for clients and colleagues and providing education and advocacy to our community. Clara has a passion for working with children, teens, parents, and young adults. She believes that each client has unique needs, and therefore practices from a client-centered approach while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play Therapy techniques.
