Biography

In 2012, Katie Veit, LCSW, founded Symmetry Counseling, LLC. After serving her community in a number of ways, Katie identified the need for a safe, comforting environment for skilled therapists and professionals to foster overall well-being and address specific issues at hand. At Symmetry, counseling feels far more comfortable than clinical. Symmetry’s therapists are humans treating humans, where they also put in the work to be the best version of themselves--in their own lives, as well as the lives of their clients.

Katie has a true passion for her work, and it shows in her relationships with her clients. Her kind and compassionate approach helps her clients lean into the vulnerability of counseling without any fear of judgment. She welcomes anyone and everyone to explore the process of leaning in and doing their own work. Bring your most vulnerable self. Bring any shame that pulls you down. Bring any type of joy to be celebrated. Bring you- just as you are, and where you are right now. Katie vows to hold space and provide a safe atmosphere where change and growth can be fostered.

Katie is committed to advancing anti-racist practices and fostering allyship with her BIMPoC colleagues and friends.
