L. Lauren Brown, PhD, LCSW
Dr. Lauren Brown specializes in trauma, intimate partner violence, self-harm, anxiety disorders & LGBTQ issues. She conducts individual, couple's and family therapy. Largely, she employs techniques from Cognitive Behavioral therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Dr. Brown's philosophy is that all individuals possess the ability to be successful and happy but sometimes lack the empowerment and self-efficacy to achieve desired goals. Individuals can expect to be treated respectfully as they are gently guided through a process of self-reflection and action.
