Katie Veit, LCSW

Katie Veit, LCSW, founded Symmetry Counseling, LLC in 2012. After working in the community in several different roles, Katie noticed a need for a group of professionals who facilitate the welfare of communities, individuals, groups, and families. Katie founded Symmetry to help fill this void. Our therapists are licensed social workers that bring a unique perspective to counseling, engaging people and communities to address life challenges and enhance well-being. Symmetry's therapists are humans treating humans.

Katie has been practicing for more than six years. She is known for her warm, calm, and comfortable approach to counseling. Katie counsels as an Integrative Psychotherapist, utilizing various orientations and therapies, based on the client's individual needs. Katie works with clients from a strength-based, affirming perspective and specializes in issues such as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, couple and family therapy.

Katie notes that her greatest reward as a therapist is guiding her clients along their life journey and helping them to focus on proactive steps towards a brighter future.

Katie is also a clinical instructor at the University of Tennessee, College of Social Work where she obtained her Masters in Social Work degree. A native Nashvillian, Katie enjoys hiking, entertaining and spending time at home with her husband and four children.
